A diamond certificate, also called Diamond Grading Report, Diamond Dossier or a Diamond Quality Document. It is created by a team of gemologists at various professional Diamond Grading Laboratories like Gemological Institute of America ( GIA ), European Gemological Laboratory ( EGL - USA ), International Gemological Institute ( IGI ), American Gemological Society ( AGS ), HRD.

The certificate usually contains the examination report of Shape, Carat Weight, Color, Clarity, Cut, Polish, Symmetry, Fluorescence, Various measurements and any special comments if any. The certificate has an unique identification number which can be verified with the issuing laboratory. Also this certificate number can be laser inscribed on the diamond girdle by client’s choice.
